Whānau

Reality set in when we were having our farewell dinner with The Red Carpet Tour, knowing that this could be the last time we would see these amazing people. Saying goodbye to Julie, Sasha, and Josh was not an easy feat. Tears were held back and words were hard to vocalize.

The bonds we created in such a short amount of time was incredible. My friends and I had our last two more nights in NZ, we were to spend those last nights like they were our last. So we went out with a bang! Karaoke, table tennis, drinks, and so much laughter! The last night hit harder than expected, knowing for sure that this is our last night with these amazing people that I meet and bonds that I will never forget and will always cherish. A few bars later, singing our hearts out, it was time. one by one our group parted ways. Hugging each other one last time, embracing it just a bit longer, saying those thoughtful words that should not regret saying.

In the last two weeks here, I found new friends, made new memories, and laughed til my ribs hurt. I still sit here thinking this trip was a few days ago. Since then we all keep in touch over a Whatsapp group text, future plans together are already in the works.

I hope you have the chance to experience a trip like this and build bonds like I built with these amazing people.
